The BWB Strategic Planning
Masterclass Series

Six Modules. Every Strategic Tool Your Business Needs. African Market Reality Built In.

Most businesses do not fail because the idea was bad. They fail because the strategy was missing, incomplete, or never connected to how the business actually operated. This programme changes that — with six hands-on, highly practical modules built from over twenty years of real African market experience.

The Right Fit

This programme is built for leaders who make decisions that matter.

If any of the following describes where you are right now, you are in the right place.

CEO, Founder, or Executive Director

You know your organisation needs strategic direction. What you have lacked is the structured environment and the right frameworks to build it properly. That is what this programme provides.

Entrepreneur with a Strong Idea

The idea is solid. The plan behind it is not yet. This programme closes that gap — giving you the business model clarity, market intelligence, and execution architecture that turns a good idea into a viable enterprise.

Senior Manager Responsible for Results

You carry accountability for outcomes without always having the strategic tools that match the responsibility. This programme gives you the frameworks to lead strategically, not just operationally.

Team Leader, Brand Manager, Department Head

You need to think more strategically about how your function connects to the organisation's larger direction. This programme builds the strategic thinking habit at every level of leadership.

Organisation Expanding into African or Global Markets

You are moving beyond your current market and need strategy that understands where African and global commerce is going — not just where it has been. Module 6 specifically addresses this transition.

African Diaspora Professional or Investor

You are building or investing across African markets and need strategic intelligence and tools that are grounded in African market reality — not frameworks designed for other continents and retrofitted.

The Programme

Six Modules. One Complete Strategic Playbook.

Each module is a standalone intensive. You can take them individually based on your immediate need, or take all six for the full strategic foundation. Every module includes a workbook, case studies, tools, and frameworks you apply immediately.

Module 1

Strategic Foundations: Building a Plan That Actually Works.

Most strategic plans gather dust in a folder. That stops here. You will learn how to develop a strategy your entire team can understand, specific enough to drive real decisions, and flexible enough to survive contact with a market that does not stay still. We go beyond vision and mission to the working strategic plan your business actually needs.

After this module you will be able to:

  • - Create a strategic plan your entire team can execute
  • - Set goals that connect to real business outcomes
  • - Identify what to stop doing just as clearly as what to start
  • - Build a strategy review process that keeps the plan alive
Module 1 - Strategic Foundations

Module 2

Reinventing Your Business Model: Staying Relevant in a Changing Market

In a world where AI makes the previously impossible possible and AfCFTA makes the previously inaccessible accessible, defending your existing business model is not a strategy — it is a slow exit. This module is about building for what comes next. You will examine your current business model with full honesty, identify where it is vulnerable, and rebuild it for the markets of the next five years, not the last five.

After this module you will be able to:

  • - Diagnose the vulnerabilities in your current business model
  • - Identify where digital disruption and AfCFTA create new revenue opportunities
  • - Design a revised business model that is built for the next market reality
  • - Communicate your model change to your team, investors, and partners
Module 1 - Strategic Foundations

Module 3

Know Your Market: Customer Strategy and Competitive Positioning

Your biggest strategic blind spot is likely that you do not know precisely who you are building for — or you are building for too many people at once. This module takes you through a rigorous market intelligence process covering your target customer, your competitive landscape, and how to position your business so clearly that your ideal client sees you as the only logical choice. Especially critical in African markets, where consumer behaviour, digital penetration, and purchasing power vary dramatically from market to market.

After this module you will be able to:

  • - Build a detailed and accurate picture of your target customer
  • - Identify exactly where your competitors are weak and you are strong
  • - Position your business to stand out from the crowd with precision
  • - Create a unified market intelligence picture across your organisation
Module 3 - Know Your Market

Module 4

Strategic Problem Solving: Decisions Under Pressure and Uncertainty

The business environment is not becoming more predictable. Currency risk, regulatory change, AI disruption, supply chain pressure, and competitive surprises are the normal conditions African business leaders now operate in — not the exceptions. This module gives you the structured thinking tools to make decisive, defensible decisions when the pressure is highest and the data is incomplete.

After this module you will be able to:

  • - Apply a diagnostic framework that separates symptoms from real causes
  • - Develop scenario plans for multiple possible futures
  • - Make high-stakes decisions with confidence even under uncertainty
  • - Guide your organisation through disruption while maintaining momentum
Module 4 - Strategic Problem Solving

Module 5

Operations That Scale: Building Systems for Growth

If your business cannot operate without you in the room every day, you do not have a business — you have a job. This module addresses the operational architecture that lets your business grow without breaking: the processes, the systems, the decision rights, and the technology infrastructure that create genuine scalability in an African business context.

After this module you will be able to:

  • - Map your operations and identify what to fix, automate, or eliminate
  • - Build standard operating systems that reduce founder dependency
  • - Integrate technology strategically into your operations
  • - Create an operational infrastructure that can grow with you
Module 5 - Operations That Scale

Module 6

Growth Without Borders: Taking Your Business to African and Global Markets

This is the module that brings everything together. AfCFTA has created the largest free trade area in the world by number of participating countries. Digital infrastructure is connecting African consumers and businesses faster than any previous generation of commerce. The organisations that understand how to build across borders — with the right strategy, the right partnerships, and the right market intelligence — are the ones that will define African commerce for the next twenty years.

After this module you will be able to:

  • - Identify which African or global markets present the greatest opportunity for your business
  • - Build a market entry strategy that accounts for regulation, culture, and competition
  • - Design a growth strategy that does not collapse when conditions change
  • - Position your organisation as a player at continental and global scale
Module 6 - Growth Without Borders

Every Module Includes

You do not leave with a thick binder. You leave with tools you use on Monday.

Strategic Planning Workbook

A guided workbook for applying each module's frameworks to your specific business situation

Practical Tools and Frameworks

The same strategy tools Lady Topsie uses with corporate clients and consulting engagements across Africa

Real African Business Case Studies

Not Harvard Business School scenarios. Real commercial situations from African markets across multiple sectors and geographies

Group Work and Peer Discussion

Active working sessions — not passive listening. You apply, discuss, and pressure-test with a cohort of peers at your level

Certificate of Completion

A BWB certificate for each module completed, and a full series certificate for participants who complete all six

BWB Post-Training Community

Access to the exclusive BWB alumni and participant community. Your network of African business leaders who are building at the same level

The Difference

This is not general business school material. None of it is.

Every module in this series was developed from over twenty years of direct experience working with businesses, entrepreneurs, and executives across all 54 countries of Africa and beyond. The frameworks are not imported from Western business schools and adapted. They are built from African market situations — the currency volatility, the regulatory unpredictability, the relationship capital dynamics, the informal economy, the digital leapfrog realities that no Harvard case study accounts for.

“You will not walk away with a thick binder you will never open again. You will walk away with a working strategic plan, new thinking tools to apply immediately, and a group of peers who are building at the same level as you are.”

— Olutope Olatilewa E. (Lady Topsie), Programme Lead

Lady Topsie has been in the room where real strategic decisions are made — not just studied them. She has operated across African markets for over two decades, founded three pan-African organisations, trained professionals in every country on the continent, and built the frameworks in this programme from the real business challenges African leaders face every day.

Seats in each cohort are deliberately limited

The quality of discussion and the depth of engagement that makes this programme work depends on keeping cohorts small. Lady Topsie does not run large-group training. When a cohort is full, it is full. If you are serious about your strategy, do not wait for the next series.

Common Questions

What participants ask before enrolling.

Can I take individual modules rather than the full series?

Yes. Each of the six modules is available as a standalone intensive. Individual module access is $97 to $147 depending on the module. The full series at any format delivers better value and the full strategic foundation, but individual modules are available for participants who have a specific immediate need. Visit

BwB Shop

What is the difference between self-paced and virtual cohort?

Self-paced gives you access to all six module materials on the e-learning platform, which you work through at your own schedule. Virtual cohort means live sessions with Lady Topsie on Zoom, a fixed weekly schedule over six weeks, and learning alongside a cohort of peers. If peer learning, live discussion, and direct access to Lady Topsie matter to you, the virtual cohort is worth the additional investment.

I am based outside Nigeria — can I still participate?

Completely. Virtual cohort sessions are scheduled to accommodate multiple African and diaspora time zones. Self-paced is accessible from anywhere. The programme is specifically designed for African business leaders and diaspora professionals across the continent and globally.

Can I bring my team?

Yes, and it is strongly recommended. Corporate and group rates are available for teams of five or more at $320 to $450 per seat, with bespoke scheduling for your organisation. Contact corporate@businesswithoutboundaries.org for a proposal.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund is available up to 14 days before your session date for virtual cohort and in-person programmes. Self-paced enrolments are non-refundable after module access is granted. Please contact admin@businesswithoutboundaries.org with any questions before purchasing.
